The Sugimoto family in Shizuoka, Japan harvests our Sen Cha in the first flush of spring. “Fukamushi" refers to the deeper (longer) steaming process. Fukamushi leaves tend to be broken and powdery because of this extra steaming-time. Sen Cha Fukamushi is a grassy, delicately sweet tea with oceanic flavor undertones.
Origin: Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
Brewing: 1.5 teaspoons per 16 ounces hot water (175 degrees). Steep 2-3 minutes.
